SPECIES: Vampire
GENDER: Male
AGE: Unknown. At least 1 000 years, perhaps over 1 500, but less than
2 100.
APPEARANCE:
Tall (about 6’6”), elegant, Pale skinned, beautiful red eyes and a soft expression that carries a lot of emotion.
He has long, pale hair and a strand of hair that hangs in front of his left ear. This is beaded.
He wears very regal and elegant clothing, but usually limits himself to a white, ruffled shirt, a black cloak that reaches
up around his neck in a very decorative collar. The cloak part is flowing with a bright red interior. He doesn’t smell
as musky as most Male Vampires do, but you know what he is as soon as he walks by. He SCREAMS vampire.
PUREBLOOD?: Yes. Turned, not born.
LOCATION:
Originally from Europe, perhaps from Germany. He grew up as an aristocrat in his fathers castle then was Turned as a child
when his parents died. He was then Embraced by his sire and raised in the same castle he was born in by his foster father.
SKILLS (physical):
A clean and determined fighter using cloak and gauntlet. Not as experienced as D but easily as gifted if given enough
time.
POWERS (abilities/powers,magickal, etc.):
Empathic and uses Empathic ability. He harnesses emotional energy and uses it to protect himself and his friends. He can
shield his emotions and shield his mind from others.
He is a growing master of Transmutation of Matter. He can convert any material, usually cloth, into moving creatures that
either confuse, protect or attack. He can hand some of this ability to those he has created close emotional ties to so they
can harness some of his Transmutation powers and use it in their own spells, etc. This sharing of power is limited but is
powerful enough to get his thoughts across.
His Gauntlet is an extension of his Transmutated self. He can absorb it and pull it out at will. He is deadly using this form.
KNOWLEDGE:
Knowledgeable about old Vampiric lore in the ShadowBlood Universe.
Growing up in an aristocratic home, he is extensively knowledgeable about court doctrine, habits and how to hide nudie mags
under the court throne. (Hey..he grew up as a Vampire among humans!)
Speaks German, English and old English (Vampiric style) fluently.
WEAPONS:
Himself. His cloak can be manipulated to be an extension of himself and he can use it to both defend himself and confuse
the enemy.
His right hand is armed with a specialized gauntlet that he can use to defend himself. It is withdrawn and hidden at will
and cannot be used by anyone without some Transmutation of Matter ability.
His empathy. He can make his victims feel and think things that can make them guilty or suicidal with a few simple thoughts.
He uses this under the most dire of circumstances as he receives feedback when he uses this particular extension of his gift.
POSSESSIONS:
His horses, his coffin and his carriage. From Charlotte: the dried and preserved rose she gave him when she was still
alive. Also, a decorative scarf she left with him before the planned to get married.

MAIN SOURCE OF TRANSPORTATION:
His carriage or by walking. He prefers not to ride, but he will if situations demands it.
BACKGROUND STORY:
Meier’s Parents were forced to move and leave their son behind when he was 11. The new lord, a pureblood Vampire,
discovered how forlorn the young child was without his parents. He asked the preteen Meier if he would like to become Embraced.
Meier, being young and impressionable, said yes and he has been a Vampire ever since.
He grew up in the same castle he was born in and was under the care of the most caring and emotional Vampire he had known.
His parents did return some years later and rejoiced to see their son alive. However, they were not happy that he had decided
to become a Vampire at such a young age. His parents did not wish to become Vampires themselves and Meier was forced to watch
them grow old and die while he retained his youth. This depressed him and the memory of it haunts him to this day.
He finally found a mate he fell madly and passionately in love with when he was several hundred years old. He eventually asked
Charlotte to marry him and when she agreed, he attempted to confront her relatives about their wish. Unfortunately, he discovered
their true feelings about Vampire-Human relationships (Being Empathic has really got to suck sometimes) and this prevented
him from approaching them further. He and Charlotte then planned to elope. When Charlotte’s father/son found out that
Meier had run off with her, they called D and the Markus Brothers to find them (See Bloodlust for details...). It was thought
that he had stolen her for his private, ungentlemanly needs. Meier hired mutants to protect him and long story short, Meier
was finally found at Countess Carmilla’s castle and Charlotte ended up dying in a messy ‘accident’. D nearly
killed Meier in the process of protecting Charlotte, but in the end, he helped the Vampire escape. Meier took the Castle’s
main ship with Charlotte’s dead body and approached the ‘City of Distant Stars’. He was forced to bury his
love there and after a century of mourning, he returned to Earth.
Once back on Terra Firma, he joined a pair of joking and playful Morpheus’ named Euclid and Damian. They met Conure and
through Conure, D and Meier were reunited. It was not a pleasant experience for the vampire and Dhampire, but they agreed
on a silent truce. They are good friends now and although they resent each other for being forced to fight each other, they
enjoy each others’ company. Their past rivalry rarely comes up between them now. If it must be mentioned, it comes up
as one word: ‘Charlotte.’
Before D had accepted Conure as a student and before Meier had reunited with D, Meier and Conure had been close friends. The
Vampire had been hired by a local Count to temporarily help him in his courts. Through his work he had met Conure. She’d
been commissioned to do some artwork for the Count and Meier, being drawn towards her artistry, had begun a conversation.
It blossomed from there.
The two became lovers. The affection the Vampire felt for Conure was as deep and as equally passionate as it had been for
Charlotte. He had every intention of keeping Conure as a mate and through a bit of luck, he managed to father her first child.
The mourning he felt when she miscarried was unfathomable. It took months of Conure’s consoling to draw him out of his
shell. They tried to have children several times after that, to no avail. He was furious with himself for being trapped in
an unending cycle of remorse and frustration. He never did forgive himself completely, though he vowed to put an end to the
suffering. If he did not try to end it now, it would never end.
For a time he forced himself to ignore his empathic blessings and had suffered badly in the end. The lack of emotions had
drained his mind and his will to live and Conure, out of Pity, had let him feed. The pale haired vampire was on the verge
of starving himself and he willingly obliged when he allowed himself access to her mind.
He missed Conure when she accepted Dracula’s invitation to move into his castle. She was to become his resident artist.
Meier would have followed behind her, but his new, equally permanent job did not allow him to travel far. He contacted his
lover by courier and through prayer to the Vampire God, but after several years the pair lost contact and Meier lost yet another
lover.
POSITIVE ATTRIBUTES:
Quiet. Not one to talk your ears off. Soft spoken if he does talk.
Loving and kind but violently protective of his loved ones when they’re threatened. At the same time he is a devoted
lover and would be an excellent father if given the chance.
Being an Empath, he immediately knows how you feel about any given situation. However, he usually shields himself and unless
his own feelings shatter his cold control over the barrier or something is powerful enough to breach his protections, everyone’s
minds are ok.
NEGATIVE ATTRIBUTES:
Being an Empath, he has difficulty blocking others thoughts while shielding his own. Sometimes his emotions are unknowingly
broadcasted, especially when he is under a great deal of stress (Re: Charlotte’s death).
Willing to go out of the way to get a point across, often to the point of taking unnecessary risks.
Being a Vampire, he MUST stay out of the way of sunlight. If he has no other choice, he will cover his head with a hood. He
is not as comfortable with extremes of weather as many vampires are and he must force himself to endure unwanted hardships
with weather and heat. When he can, he travels by carriage, which can be a hindrance in times of panic.
Crosses have a habit of being destroyed when he’s around.
He cannot live without emotion. His mind is so in tune with it that when he blocks out all emotions he gets very anxious.
He MUST have that kind of energy flowing to his mind. If deprived of it for too long he goes ape shit batty. Luckily
this is rare as most allow him some access to their mind.
OBJECTIVES IN LIFE:
At one point it would have been to find a new place to live with Charlotte and have children with her. Unfortunately,
she met an untimely death to a ‘misunderstanding’ with Countess Carmilla (a relative of D’s). Now he is in
the process of looking for new ground to stand on. In the process of looking he has tied himself to Damian and Euclid. Through
Conure he was re introduced to D. Now he travels with the two Dhampires, helping protect Conure and her little ‘gift’.
Meier would like to join in on D and Conure’s training lessons. Recently he has been allowed to watch and be set up
as a test by D to give her some experience fighting other warriors. Meier would also love to take Conure on as a lover again,
but D would not allow it.
QUIRKS AND SPECIAL TRAITS:
That damned Transmuteted Gauntlet will get you every time. You never know when he’s gonna use it!
Crosses. He HATES them. It’s more of an instinctive thing and if he senses they’re there, they suddenly find
themselves very badly smooshed :-D .
It’s their religious representation he dislikes. It’s also the type of energy their loaded with that makes Meier
VERY unhappy. Vampires and Crosses rarely mix well (many find them anti-Dracula) and Meier is NOT one of the few who can tolerate
their existence. With a thought he can bend them and crush them into unrecognizable messes.
Meier is a devout follower of Dracula. He is always seen in chapels revering the Vampire God, either by praying before the
great chapel statues or by lighting a candle to his memory of Charlotte.
He’s one of the few individuals who swears without actually SAYING anything. One thought laced with emotion combined
with his expression and you know he’s cussing as bad as a sailor! If he does swear verbally, which is never (well..close
to it), you KNOW he’s PISSED.
