Technology in ShadowBlood HTML
Technology in Shadowblood is widespread and it is very advanced but it’s not comon in some areas
dominated by creatures such as Vampires, Angels, Mutants and many other magick weilding creatures. It’s ironic as Vampires,
Humans and Elves have worked together to create most of the Technology used today. In these non tech heavy areas, magic and
magick-like abilities are widespread. Folks don’t have to rely on cars or ships to get to most places a short distance
away - say no more than 4 days travel by horse. However, cars and their kin exist. Few roads are decent, made more for the
horse and carriage than the tires of cars. Hovercrafts are very very rare and those that do exist are very old. The same goes
for Space Shuttles and Starships. Space Travel used to be very pronounced about a thousand years ago, but as the Daemons have
widened their hold on the the created Universe, space travel had become very dangerous. Few functional ships exist and most
are so old that they would probably break up upon re-entry. The good news is that Vampires and Humans have been building specialized
ships in space and that has allowed some of the more distant star systems to be accessed once again. Vampires have several
colonies outside the Solar System. Travel to them is very dangerous and because of this, any ships to arrive are seen as a
type of Santa Clause sighting :-). These distant star systems are self sufficient and most do not need outside supplies. They
grow their own food, produce their own air and fight their own battles independent of ShadowBlood Earth. Earth still rules
these outside colonies, but it is so relaxed with their command that most colonies handle problems their own way. Thier main
uniting factor is the widespread knowledge of Dracula. He does not abandon his people!
Smaller Technologies such as TV/Internet Satallites, Cars, TV, GPS and PDS of every shape imaginable are common. Scientific
research into Vampire, Human, Elven, Demon and Mutant Phisiology is very advanced. Medical studies and discoveries would shock
our world. Vampires have created Blood Pills and Improved the Sanguine Fruit to improve flavor and protien content. Research
into cloning is much more advanced than it is in out world but it still has its limits. Clones are rare but they do exist
and are much more stable geneticly and personality wise than the clones created today.
Weather watching Satalites are almost non existant because many Vampires can control the weather. If it’s a grubby day
they can make it sunny again :-D .
